Commando Kid
Commando Kid is a challenging 2D platforming game where you play as an 8-Year old gun wielding girl named Reiko who goes on a mission to rescue hostage army men and women after an evil group has wiped out the nation's resources and threatens to kill everyone that doesn't obey their orders. The story is has more depth than that- and it's a little dark at some points, but I don't want to reveal to much about it right now. The game is takes the 'I wanna be the guy' formula, removes the bullshit, and fixes it with fair puzzle elements and new challenges bringing an entirely new play experience. Every aspect of the game will require precise thought from you, the player. For example, some spikes you can trigger to fall then use them as platforms. No spikes will fly at random. The controls in the engine are currently "better and more responsive than Super Meat Boy." - Ian Boswell (From Sega of America / XYLA Entertainment) In a sense, if you fuck up, it's your fault-- not the game's. The levels will be designed by me. I have lots of experience in level design and I've gotten advice in the past from multiple people such as Edmund McMillen. Most of the game will be made in a Super Nintendo fashion, done in 16-Bit sprites and it will be reminiscent to classic games like Donkey Kong Country and Super Metroid.
